Braces for teens

The teenage years are the perfect age for orthodontic treatment. Because a teen’s jaws are still growing, this is the most efficient time to align their teeth. It’s also an important time for social development, and teens will love having a straighter smile in all their photos.

A braces option for everyone

At Beam Orthodontics, we have multiple braces options for teens. We offer fixed metal braces, clear braces, and even discreet Invisalign® clear aligners. Our braces options are sleek, comfortable and super efficient – so your teen won’t spend any longer in braces than necessary.

What is Beam Future Smiles: Teen+?

Our Beam Teen+ Private service normally starts when all/nearly all adult teeth are through (between 11-17years old). Clinically, this is a great age to complete orthodontic treatment. We can correct a wide range from simple to complex problems using the latest technology in xed braces, removable braces, or Invisalign (clear aligners).

NHS treatment

Some teens can be eligible for orthodontic treatment on the NHS if their teeth are bad enough such as severe crowding, buried and impacted teeth, or severely protruding teeth. The NHS regulations only allow treatment for dental health needs, not simply for cosmetic reasons.

The Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN) is used by the NHS to determine if a case is severe enough for funding. A long wait on an NHS waiting list for assessment can often still turn out to be too mild for NHS funding and end up seeking our help with Beam Future Smiles: Teen+ treatments.

To avoid disappointment and delay contact us now to book an assessment appointment and discover what we can do to fix your teen’s orthodontic problems giving them an awesome, confident smile.
