Rhu is the founder and co-owner of Beam. He is a 'Diamond II' level Invisalign provider – putting him in the top 1% of Invisalign providers worldwide. Rhu has been a Specialist in Orthodontics since 2002 working in several Hospitals and Practices prior to opening Beam in 2007. Since then Beam has treated over 10,000 kids and adults correcting smiles for people from all over Scotland. Rhu and his wife Jane graduated in dentistry at Glasgow in 1995. He passed his Fellowship in Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998 and then spent three years in specialist orthodontic training in Bristol and Exeter, completing the orthodontic exam (M.Orth) at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002. Rhu has been based in Dundee since 2005 where he launched Beam Orthodontics with his wife Jane in 2007.
Since opening Beam, the practice has won multiple awards and grown into the biggest orthodontic provider in Tayside. Rhu has been an active member of local and national dental bodies and continually works closely with the local dentists who refer in patients needing Specialist orthodontic work. Rhu is a member of the British Orthodontics Society, the American Orthodontic Society, the World Orthodontic Society, British Dental Association and The Invisible Orthodontist group. This keeps Rhu up to date with the latest innovations and techniques from the world's leading Orthodontists. Rhu and Jane live in rural Angus where Jane operates her Interior design business (Author Interiors) from home in amongst the free range kids and animals.

Ruth graduated in dentistry at Glasgow in 1988 and gained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) in 1992. She then went on to do specialist orthodontic training which was undertaken in Dundee and Perth, completing the orthodontic exam (MDO) in Glasgow in 1995. Further specialist training was undertaken before being accredited for a consultant position in 1999 (M.Ortho RCPS Glasgow). Since then, Ruth worked as a consultant orthodontist in a neighbouring Health Board and was delighted to join the team at Beam Orthodontics in April 2012. Ruth is well respected throughout the orthodontic community in Scotland and has recently started a part-time post as an Orthodontic Adviser to practitioner services (dental) in Edinburgh.

Roxana graduated in dentistry in 2013 in Bucharest. She went on to work as a paediatric dentist while pursuing her residency in Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopaedics and graduated as an Orthodontic Specialist in 2015. Since then Roxana has gained her professional experience in a specialist orthodontic practice in Bucharest before moving to Scotland in 2017 to work as a Specialist Orthodontist in an Elgin-based clinic. She has since treated a large and varied number of orthodontic patients while also performing the role of trainer to orthodontic therapists. Roxana is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the European Orthodontic Society.

Neil is a highly experienced dental practitioner who has worked in specialist orthodontic practice since 2005. He has treated over 3000 orthodontic patients prior to joining Beam in November 2019. In addition, he has supplemented his orthodontic experience by completing a Masters degree at the University of Glasgow, allowing him to be officially recognised as a dentist with enhanced skills in orthodontics. He passed with distinction and also won the GSK award for student with best project presentation. He gained the diploma, Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, in 2017.
Neil graduated in dentistry from Dundee University in 1993. He completed his vocational training in Middlesbrough in 1994 and subsequently worked in several general dental practices in County Durham, Newcastle upon Tyne and Sunderland. In 2005, Neil’s passion for orthodontics and professional development led him to divide his time between working in general dentistry and specialist orthodontic practice. Since 2010, he has devoted all his clinical time to providing orthodontic care. He is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and is committed to continually updating his skills and knowledge.
