Principal Specialist Orthodontist

Ruaridh McKelvey BDS (Glasgow) 1995, FDSRCS 1998, M.Orth (Edinburgh) 2002

Rhu graduated in Dentistry at Glasgow in 1995, gained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998 and then spent three years in Specialist Orthodontic training in Bristol and Exeter, completing the orthodontic exam (M.Orth) in Edinburgh in 2002. Rhu has worked both in practice and as a locum consultant. He has been based in Dundee since 2005 where he launched Beam Ortho with his wife, Jane.

Keri Weatherhogg BDS (Dundee) 1999, FDSRCS 2003, MOrth (Edinburgh) [insert date], MPhil (Birmingham) 2007

Keri returned to Tayside having completed her Specialist Orthodontic training in Birmingham and joined the Beam team as we opened the new premises. Living near Perth, Keri loves the outdoors and can be seen out running and cycling - often over mountains!

Orthodontic Therapists are a new feature to UK dentistry but have been part of orthodontic teams across the rest of the world for many years. Beam is leading the way in Scotland and has been at the forefront of training Orthodontic Therapists. We are proud to be one of the first clinics in the UK to properly embrace the role of Orthodontic Therapists.
